I am currently accepting select students for private voice lessons in San Jose/Silicon Valley. Lessons are available late mornings, afternoons and early evenings.  I teach Mondays and Tuesdays in a rehearsal studio near 880/Brokaw Rd. And beginning in August 2007, lessons will also be available in Downtown San Jose on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Novice through Advanced singers welcome, ages 11 (6th grade) and up.

Learn to sing with proper technique, I teach all styles: Jazz, Pop/Rock, Broadway, and Classical.  You will learn breath support & control, projection, articulation and diction, with a strong emphasis on musicality, intonation, phrasing and presentation. If you have an interest in learning to read music and basic music theory we can incorporate that as well. I will tailor your lessons to areas that you want to improve based upon the strengths that you already have.

I have my Bachelor of Music and Master of Art degrees in Vocal Performance from San Jose State University and over ten years of teaching experience. I offer weekly, private, hour and half-hour lessons. 

My students range in age and abilities...from the person who wants to feel more confident singing in church or along with the radio to those who have ambitions of performing professionally.  Many of my students are currently performing with local organizations including San Jose Children's Music Theater, Cantabile Children's Chorus, Symphony Silicon Valley Chorale, West Bay Opera, Lyric Theater of San Jose and Opera San Jose.
